Scavenger Hunt: Kick off spring cleaning with this fun event
Jump start your spring cleaning by tackling your craft room in this fun scavenger hunt. Get tips and tricks, plus a chance to win daily prizes!

The Spring Clean Your Craft Room Scavenger Hunt
It’s that time of year again—when the birds are singing, the windows are flung open, and we suddenly feel the urge to clean everything. But let’s be honest… cleaning your craft space can feel less like a spring breeze and more like digging through a yarn-filled jungle. 😅
So, instead of tackling it all at once, let’s make it fun!
I’ve put together a Spring Cleaning Your Craft Space Scavenger Hunt—a playful way to clear the clutter, rediscover your forgotten supplies, and pick up a few handy tips and tricks along the way. Think of it as a little adventure through the land of half-finished projects, tangled notions, and the ever-elusive missing stitch marker.
Ready to turn your mess into a creative oasis? Let the hunt begin! 🧺✨
Why a scavenger hunt?
Cleaning a craft room can feel the ultimate in drudgery – piles of yarn, tangled scraps, disorganized tools.
A tidy craft space isn’t just nice to look at—it actually makes your creative time more enjoyable and productive.
When everything has its place, you spend less time searching for supplies and more time doing what you love. It can also spark new inspiration—rediscovering forgotten yarn or tools might just lead to your next project!
Plus, a clean, organized space helps reduce stress and gives your brain the breathing room it needs to fully enjoy the creative process.
A scavenger hunt is the perfect way to make the spring cleaning job go quickly and have more fun doing it. Plus, you’ll find great tips and fun quotes to help you on your way.
How the scavenger hunt works
The Spring Clean Your Craft Room Scavenger Hunt starts Wednesday, April 9th, and ends Tuesday, April 15th.
Each day of the scavenger hunt, you’ll be treated to fun quotes plus tips & tricks to help you get your craft space tidied up.
You’ll also have a chance to enter to win a free MadameStitch pattern, available through my Ravelry shop.
And, to make things even sweeter, everyone who participates gets entered in a drawing to win a grand prize when it’s all over!
Here’s how it works:
- Visit this post every day beginning Wednesday, April 9, and ending Tuesday, April 15. (Be sure to bookmark this post)
- Scroll down to find the instructions for that day..
- Click on each of the links and scroll down to find the graphic. Be sure to read the fun quote or tip that goes with the graphic.
- Once you find the graphic on a post, click on the graphic. If nothing happens, move on to the next post. If an entry form opens, fill it out. That’s your daily entry form.
- Do it all over again the next day for another chance to win!
What if you need a reminder to participate every day? If you’re already on my email list, you’ll automatically get a daily email reminder. I’ll also be posting daily in the Facebook group – MadameStitch Crochet Corner – or on my Facebook page.

Daily prizes plus a chance to win a grand prize
You not only have a chance to clean and tidy your craft space by participating in this fun scavenger hunt, you have a chance to win daily prizes culminating in a grand prize.
Every morning of the scavenger hunt, I’ll choose a winner from those who successfully filled out the previous day’s entry form.
What will the daily winner get? One free pattern from my Ravelry store, anything you want.
And, the grand prize winner receives a copy of Juniper & Oakes “Coloring Book for Crocheters”.

Thank you for your wonderful ideas
Judith,
You are so welcome!
Best,

Found some yarn I forgot about and made some small slippers.
Must confess I knit them as it is my stronger craft but your suggestions apply to that as well.
Judith,
It’s amazing what we find in those piles of yarn. So much possibility!
Best,
Debbie
This has been fun. Will the links for previous days be available?
Johanna,
I’ll probably add the links back in once the event is over. I didn’t want to confuse everyone during the scavenger hunt.
Best,
Debbie
