Why a baby blanket series?
Nothing can compare to the gift of a handmade baby blanket (IMHO). I love to make blankets and afghans, pure and simple. There’s something so satisfying about working on such a large project, getting to the final stitch, and being able to fasten off. And, let’s speak truth. There is nothing like cuddling up under a beautiful, cozy, warm handmade blanket or giving that coziness to someone special. That’s why I’m especially fond of making baby blankets.
It’s been many years since my children were born and I was in the thick of making blankets for them and for my friends’ babies. Now I’m a grandma and creating blankets for a new generation of moms and their babies. My grandsons have a couple of blankets each…so far! I recently gifted the gingham granny blanket (one of the new releases to come) to one of my colleagues. She was genuinely thrilled!
I’m so excited to share this new collection with you because I had so much fun making all of them. I hope you find something that catches your eye and tickles that crochet vibe!

What’s coming?
Beginning next week, I’ll be releasing a new baby blanket pattern each week for 5 weeks. Each week’s release will include an introduction to the pattern (available in my Ravelry and Etsy shops) and an in-depth look at each blanket – it’s inspiration, details about the yarn I used, and insights about the construction. The skill levels range from advanced beginner to intermediate.
