In that spirit, the Head Over Heels blog hop brings you crochet designs that will treat heads and feet with care.
In the Head Over Heels blog hop, you’ll find crochet hats, headbands and ear warmers, plus slippers and socks, all intended to keep you warm and cozy. You might find something that:
- Covers your head with warmth and style.
- Keeps those toes toasty warm while you’re lounging at home.
- Makes you the envy of your friends and family.

What is a blog hop?
A blog hop is a great way to introduce yourself to top crochet designers you may not know. The blog hop has a specific design topic – in this case head over heels – and each designer chooses a design to share with you that fits the topic.
In this type of blog hop, the daily featured designer or designers makes her pattern PDF available as a free download. The designer will provide either a coupon code or a direct link to the free PDF. If you follow every day, you can fill your crochet pattern library with beautiful patterns to make now to outfit all those heads and feet.
Included in this blog hop may be some designers you’ve never met. So much talent abounds in crochet design. I’m excited to share these 24 crochet designs with you over the course of the next 2 weeks.
How this Head Over Heels blog hop works
Step 1: Visit this post every day starting Monday, February 10th, and ending Monday, February 24th.
Step 2: A new featured design or designs will be added to the post every morning at 8am EST. The day may have one or two featured designs.
Step 3: On this post, scroll down to that day’s featured design.
Step 4: You’ll find the coupon code (if needed) next to the photo of that day’s featured design. Be sure to write down the coupon code so you can use it at checkout later.
Note: Some designers are offering their PDFs as direct downloads either from their shops or a direct download page. If you need a coupon code, you’ll find that information when the design is added to this post.
Step 5: Click on the graphic that will appear in this post next to the picture of the featured design (it will look like the one below) to head to the designer’s post or listing.

Step 6: Once you arrive on the designer’s post, look for one of the buttons below. You’ll use your coupon code in either Ravelry or Etsy, or use the button for a direct download.
Coupon codes and direct downloads are active for 24 hrs. The 24 hrs begins at 8am ET of the feature day and ends at 8am ET the following day.

Each day you need to look for the Head Over Heels button on the designer’s post. That will take you where the coupon code DOES work.
In this case, I believe the coupon code is only good in the designer’s shop, not on Ravelry.

Hello! I’ve been keeping up with the blog hop every day; however, I was not aware that there was a second free pattern for yesterday 2/11 (I usually search by ctrl+f because my laptop loads very slowly, so I think I was not able to see it because I wasn’t scrolling, or there might have been an ad directly under it). I am wondering if it would be possible to honor the fact that I did check (I can also prove that I was able to obtain the first pattern) and receive the pdf still? Thank you so much! Thank you for putting this blog hop together. These are always fun. I have a question though- What is the specific time and time zone the codes expire each day? Stating “24 hours” is not exactly helpful when designers live in different time zones, different designers are sending out reminders, people live in different time zones from designers, and emails go out at different times each day. It would be super helpful to know that the code will expire at whatever specific time and time zone (for example 8am EST each day, or 5am London time, or whatever). I might be the only one, but this type of information helps me plan my day.

In the blog post, it says a new design is added to the blog post each day at 8am ET. That’s when the 24 hrs starts.
However, I’ve just added more specific wording about the coupon codes/direct downloads which expire at 8am ET the day following the feature date.

I find to download the directions for the headband on 2/14 impossible. Is there an easier way to get the free directions.? I followed all the directions but just could not find the file . Oh well, Maybe I am just too old.
