Crochet Therapy
Wow, what a challenging week this has been…my aging dog, my overworked voice students, happy moments and low moments all mixed together. I know I’m not unique and this is not a whiny post. We all have times that put us through the ringer but we get to the other side and breathe a sigh of relief.
We all have different ways of dealing with the craziness that threatens to derail our sanity. I will often take a walk in my quiet neighborhood…
Sometimes I go buck wild organizing and cleaning a room in the house. Of course, that happens so seldom that it scares my family when I do it!
This time, as well as a lot of the rest of the time, what saved me was my beloved crochet. When I sit down with soft, cozy yarn and crochet hook in hand, I’m transported to a quiet, calming place.
The colors, the textures, the repetitive motion…..aaahhhhh!
Even though I will admit a little wine (or a lot!) 🍷 made it into the mix, my crocheting saved my sanity and brought me back from the edge. Well, looking at this cutie-pie doesn’t hurt either 🐶 ❤️
