Valentine’s Day is here and hearts are everywhere. It’s time to celebrate them with designs that feature crochet hearts.
The 14 Days of Hearts blog hop was created just for you and anyone in your life you’d like to show a little love to with crochet hearts. In this event, you’ll find everything from wearables and accessories to pillows and blankets for the home, a little something for everyone in your life.
During the blog hop, you’ll be treated to daily free PDF downloads offered to you by some of my crochet designer friends. Read on for details about how you can participate.
Why a blog hop?
- A blog hop is a great way to introduce you to top crochet designers you may not know. The blog hop has a specific design topic – in this case crochet hearts – and each designer chooses a design to share with you that fits the topic.
- In this type of blog hop, the daily featured designer makes her pattern PDF available for 24 hrs as a free download. If you follow every day, you can fill your crochet pattern library with beautiful heart-themed designs.
- Included in this blog hop may be some designers you’ve never met. So much talent abounds in crochet design and you should know these wonderful people.
How this blog hop full of crochet hearts works
Step 1: Visit this post every day starting Wednesday, February 1st, and ending Tuesday, February 14th. Every morning at 8am EST, this post will be updated with the current day’s information.
Step 2: On this post, scroll down to that day’s featured design. Some days there are 2 designs – don’t miss them.
Step 3: You’ll find the coupon code (if needed) next to the photo of that day’s featured design. Be sure to write down the coupon code so you can use it at checkout later.
Note: Some designers are offering their free PDFs as direct downloads. That means you won’t need a coupon code.
Step 4: To get your free PDF download, you’ll need to head to the designer’s post or listing. Look for the button below and click on it.
Step 5: Once you arrive on the designer’s post, look for one of the buttons below. You’ll use your coupon code in either Ravelry or Etsy, or use the button for a direct download.
Note: Be sure to scroll down. These buttons may be farther down in the post. Plus, if the button doesn’t have hearts on it, you probably won’t be clicking in the right place.
The blog hop starts on Wednesday, February 1st, at 8am EST, with the first designs. Be sure to bookmark this page so you don’t miss a day of this fun crochet hearts blog hop! Or, sign up below for daily email reminders delivered right to your inbox.

Hi!
Thank you for this blog hop.
I am trying to download the Paris Sweater pattern of February 10, but it shows that the coupon is expired.
I am well within the 24 hours and i am able to download the other pattern.
I would appreciate your help.
Thank you
Hi, thank you for this blog hop, I know they require a lot of behind the scenes work. I am trying to download today’s (Feb 8) Heart In A Basket wall hanging and the direct download page has a failure when I go to it. I am using a Mac computer not a hand held device.
Wendi,
I am also using a Mac computer and the PDF downloads directly to my computer. If you continue to have problems, try clearing your browser history and try it again.
Best,
Debbie
Today’s wall hanging from Juniper and Oaks direct download doesn’t work – the button is linked to her “About” page
Andrea,
The direct download button does work – it’s taken you to the right place. Simply scroll down the page to find it.

Hi, thanks for the patterns. I managed to get the Valentine’s worry worm but not the Paris Sweater. Ravelry keeps saying the Paris Sweater code is expired so I can’t even check it out of the cart.
On no its still 11:27 and the Paris Sweater coupon expired!
Hola hoy es dia 10 de febrero y me aparece vencido el código del sweater.
Gracias
Hi Debbie!
First off, thank you so much for doing this blog hop!! It’s been wonderful!
Second, aren’t all the patterns supposed to be available from 8am U.S. EDT on their feature day until 8am U.S. EDT the next day? Cause I just tried to get Two Brothers Blanket’s Paris Sweater on Ravelry using the code around 12:20am U.S. EDT on 2/11 and it said the code expired. And none of the other codes or direct downloads have done that to me.
I do usually try to grab the patterns earlier but I’m an insomniac with chronic health issues and more often than not end up sleeping most of the day . So while I tend not to get to the patterns until I get in bed to try to sleep for the night, tonight things ran a bit later than usual. So I didn’t get to it till now.
Please help if possible.
For day 10, it’s not 8 AM EST yet but the code for the Paris Sweater does not work anymore – is there a possibility that the code can be extended?
For Feb. 10th, the code for the Paris Sweater expired early. So, for those who may have missed it, the code will stay active until 11:59pm EST on Feb. 11th.
Michelle has so graciously left her pattern free for the day so be sure to get your copy before midnight!
Best,
Debbie
Thank you
Thank You Debbie and Michelle!!
You are both Sweethearts!!
Thank you so much for extending the day for the Paris sweater, because the coupon did not work on the 10, but today it (the 11) it worked perfectly. And THANK you for doing all this lovely work! Happy Valentines Day! 🙂
Again thank you for this blog hop.
I was disappointed that I did not get a reply from you or the designer regarding the worry worm code problem.
Today I am concerned that today’s Textured Heart Pillow states no code needed for the download because for a PDF version you do need a code or else it will cost on Raverly.
Gale,
The Textured Pillow for Feb. 13th is not a free download from Ravelry. That’s why you don’t need a code.
When you arrive on the designer’s post, find the button that says “Direct Download”. That’s where you’ll get the free PDF.
Best,
Debbie
Thank you.
Great patterns! Thank you so much for hosting this blog hop! Lotsa fun!
Laura,
I’m so glad you enjoyed it…thanks for joining me!
Best,
Debbie
